Chinese New Year

This year we are again inviting the whole community to join us in celebrating the Chinese New Year - Year of the Pig!

Our event is on Sunday 10th February from 2pm - 6pm when it's dark enough to set off the Firework Finale!

Lots of Chinese inspired entertainment throughout the afternoon starting with the Lion who will be visiting retailers to "bless" them - if you missed it last year it's great fun!

There will be a chinese theme to all the free crafts for the Children to enjoy as well as entertainment and displays to keep them and you amused!

We are very proud to have the support of the Mayor of Bromley who will be coming along to open the event.

2pm Opening by Mayor of Bromley Cllr Kim Botting

The Chinese Drummers kick off the event before the Dancing Lion arrives to start "blessing" the centre and businesses.

We will have Miranda the Shy Panda here too and we want all the children to encourage her not to be shy - if they are good she will be handing our Fortune Cookies and Lucky Red envelopes.

Around 3pm there will be a Tai Chi demonstration.

The mini pigs are here from 2 till 4pm when we wave them goodbye.

If children can come dressed in a fabulous Chinese themed outfit we will be having the Best Dressed Competition about 4.

Paddy the Party Panda will be rocking the stage with his fun and games before the Fire Eater at around 5.30 when its getting dark before we close the event with our Firework Finale at 6ish!

Lots of side stalls here too for which payment will be needed - facepainter, ride on horses, chinese food, Walking Pet Balloons, Fair Rides for little ones, Chinese clothing, hair bows and accessories, Waffles, and Wired gifts.
